Hello everyone!
So it has turned out that my time on Tumblr will be exceptionally short-lived. I think most of my gripes have to do with the template I’ve chosen, but regardless I’m missing the comfort and familiarity of Blogspot… I still have every intention of updating the look of the site and giving things a visual overhaul, but in the meantime the Tumblr platform is proving to be inefficient. Below (and above) I’ll attach the link to my Blogspot account, where I’ll be doing the rest of my new posting.
To all my new followers I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully the change wont put you off my work permanently. At the new location you can expect an update on my adventures in Ireland, as well as the end of my trip in Europe, my plans for the near future, and some awesome new playlists I’ve been putting together over the last few weeks.

It has recently come to my attention that in an earlier post - “An Ethics Dilemma: Polygamy” - I misunderstood the term “cisgender”. In the interest of staying informed I thought I’d pass along a link to a very comprehensive definition of the word. [For those of you who, like myself, are new to Tumblr, the link is the post title.]
I hardly need add that no offense was intended, only a discussion of an issue that is (obviously) shrouded in misunderstandings. Often when it comes to dialogue concerning gender/sexual orientation it is easy to step on someone’s toes. Next time I guess I’ll be triple-checking my definitions.
Acclimation
Hello all,
Welcome to the new site! For the time being I’m just using one of Tumblr’s templates, but in the coming weeks/months (life is busy) I hope to customize the look. Perhaps eventually I’ll even find the time/expertise to design the damn thing myself. Anyway, at the moment I’m still getting used to Tumblr’s setup, so I apologize for any difficulty you have in navigation - specifically I’m still trying to sort out tags from my archived material.
If you are just now discovering the blog I hope you’ll enjoy it. You’ll find it is a mish-mash of film analysis, fashion reviews, manicures, and for the last three months it has also functioned primarily as a travel blog chronicling my adventures here in Germany.
As for my next (substantial) update, I can’t say I’m sure when it will happen. I’ll be off to Dublin this Saturday, and won’t return to Hamburg until the following Wednesday. It may be that I find a moment to update while in Ireland, but I make no promises.
7Listening To: Rory Charles
Yesterday after spending a good four hours at the hair salon (I’ll get to that later) I was wandering about downtown Hamburg when I passed a large crowd around a street performer. I paused to listen, and as it turned out I really liked what I heard. The performer is a guy named Rory Charles, who is from Manchester, England. His sound is a little like Bon Iver and a lot like Fleet Foxes. It’s folksy with liberal use of falsetto. They were selling CDs so I bought one, and have listened to it a good ten times since yesterday. It’s nice chill music, perfect for the cold autumn weather we’ve been having here in Germany. I definitely recommend you check out his website and support his music. Enjoy!
